HELP! Im having a destination wedding in Hawaii and have NO CLUE about a lot of things!

Hi, I desperately need some advice and recommendations for the following.... 1. Fairly medium to large size centerpiece bowls and vases...I would like to know where I can purchase these in Hawaii.. for cheap..(b/c I dunno how else to obtain them besides the internet....it costs toooo much for shipping). I am planning to have floating candle bowls and hurricane vases to put candles in.  2. Any awesome makeup artists that know how to do asian eye makeup really really well?? 3. *** anyone have any pictures of HALE KOA weddings???? especially the lauilima rooms.....???? Also, if you have gone to a wedding or had a wedding at the hale koa hotel....could you please gimme some details? I'll trade you a VIP admission pass to the next World Bridal Expo in Oahu I think its on October 16-17 (whatever saturday and sunday that weekend is) for some info on all of these or some Hale Koa lauilima pictures and advice!!! THANKS SO MUCH

1. I would try Walmart for the bowls and vases. They had the cheapest that I could find on Oahu. My only advice would be to figure out how many you will need and possibly order them ahead of time if you need a lot. 2. Not sure.3. I went to a Hale Koa wedding and it's gorgeous there. The ballroom we were in was really neat to because the seating was really cool. Kinda like stadium seating on the sides. I would check out local photographers blogs for pics. Like Frank Amodo and Shawn Starr. You can also look at the Hawaii Knotties List, and there you can look at the bios for girls who got married at the Hale Koa.

Welcome to the board :)1. I think Walmart is a great suggestion.  How long do you have before the wedding once you get to Hawaii?  You might want to factor that in when you make your own centerpieces.  2. Dorie is pretty popular on this board and a ton of asian ladies have used her for hair/makeup3. Take a look at the HawaiiBrides bio.  It's the unofficial list of all the hawaii knotties.  It has where they got married, date, bio, etc.  You might be able to look at bios of a few knotties who got married there.  Good Luck!

We ended up renting vases from our coordinator with Hawaii Weddings and Events, maybe you can rent from yours.   Sorry, we did off premise so don''t have pictures of Hale Koa but alot of girls have used Dorys Foltin for hair and make-up
