I've been so, so busy these past few weeks and I'm trying to catch up on posts...but I had to share something that happened to me on Sunday...One of my best friends from high school is engaged, and we're maids in each others weddings. She came to visit and we decided to go to this big bridal show out at the horse race track (it's called Remington Park, beautiful grounds and giant facilities.) There were 70 vendors there, about 2,000 brides and lots of contests throughout the day. We entered all the contests...danced in the "Maid of Honor Dance Off," tried to catch the bouquet, etc. We didn't win anything, and by the end of the day we were so DONE! Ready to get out of there.The grand prize was a drawing to win a free reception. To enter, you had to get every single vendor to initial by their company on this card. We completed ours and dropped them into a big hopper. At the end of the show, they wheeled it out into the middle of the race track. Hundreds of girls crowded around and they pulled a name out. It was mine!!!!!!What?!!! I won a free $4,000 reception at Remington Park!!! It totally made my year. We recently decided we couldn't afford an At Home Reception and a lot of our friends and family who can't make it to Maui were so bummed. AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I'm done.
