How long did it take to get ur wedding video?

Hi ladies just curious how long you waited until u got your wedding video?I'm being told by my videographer he might be able to get it to me by December? But no promises our wedding was in July. I'm beginning to think I shouldve gone w someone else and spent extra money instead of going for something cost efficient. Did u past brides wait six monhs for your wedding video?

Hi Marianne!!!Wow, that is a long time.  I booked Scott too and he's usually pretty quick to respond to my emails.  Recently, I just asked him for the raw video footage of our wedding, so we can show at our AHR, but he still hasn't responded.Doesn't his contract say 8-12 weeks, not 6 months, which would be double that????

I also booked Scott. Our wedding was July and he gave us a copy of the raw footage A WEEK after the wedding. He gave me an edited copy around November for our review/comments. We got the final copies in December. Told him I need to send a copy to my family in the Philippines. He even mailed the dvds to Manila himself. My advice is to just keep bugging him :-). He's a nice guy and I am sure he can work out something with you. GL!

Thanks Ericka!  Our wedding is on 11/10, and my mom is throwing the AHR on 11/22.  I hope that's enough time to get the raw video.  I guess I shouldn't hope for the actual video by Christmas.  I know that's too soon, but I guess it was just wishful thinking

Elaine - make sure you let him know ahead of time. perhaps he can make a wedding video highlight that you can show during your AHR?

Ericka, I did email him about the raw footage, but he hasn't responded.  I guess I could call him to find out about it, as well as a highlight video if he'd have time.  I think he said to rush something like that, he'd charge extra.  It's unlike him to be unresponsive.  I hope everything is okay.
