DIY Invites?

Aloha brides- Just wondering if any of our Oahu brides decided to make DIY invitations? A friend of mine on the mainland designed hers and had a printing company make them up. I love the idea of replicating a design, and of course, saving $$!! She spent less than $200 on her invites and I know she had at least double the amount to make than me. I just don't know what places would do the printing for me. Does anyone here know of any good places on Oahu to get my invites printed?

I DIYed my own invites.  What are yours like?  A lot of present and past knotties here did DIY, and a lot seem to have printed on their own using an inkjet printer. (Inkjet was def better than when I tried on laser).  I think everyone seemed to like the Canon Pixma or something like that. Pics of my invite in bio.

My co-worker designed ours for us. We ordered/bought the paper from Paper Roses. And we then took that down to HonBlue to have them print and cut all of our invites for us. It was very reasonably priced. I think it was around $20-25 for 50 printed sheets of 8-1/2"x11" paper.

Thanks ladies? I really want to do a layered look. I DIYed mine too - I belong to the Cult of the Canon Pixma MP530. LOL!

I would check out the Envelopments line. They have patterns like this, along with different pieces to help you DIY. Paper Roses carries the line, and they have plenty of samples in store.

I'm DIYing my invitations and will probably be printing at home using my mom's color laser printer.  I am buying my supplies online at [url]http://www.cardsandpockets.com[/url] and [url]http://www.paperandmore.com[/url].  I've bought samples and color swatches from each and they are both great -- great prices and great customer service.  Cards and Pockets also has this new Forum section which I have found EXTREMELY helpful when it comes to how to design your invites.Pics of my mock-ups can be found in my bio.
