Maui Accomodations

Hey everyone!I'm getting ready to start calling around for room rates for our stay. We're considering either the Westin Maui or the Sheraton. I was just wondering if anyone stayed/is staying at these hotels and if so, what kind of rates did you get? Just so that I get an idea before I call what to try and negotiate for.Thanks in advance!

We aren't staying a either of those two but we are staying at the Aston maui Banyan and they have great rates!!! about $140 a night for a one bed condo!

I don't know how the rates at the Sheraton compare to the rates at the Westin but I will say that I've stayed at both and I love the Westin!  If the rates are pretty close I would choose the Westin.  The Sheraton is also a good hotel and awesomely located at Black Rock but I just truly loved the Westin!  Their "heavenly beds" are to die for!  We got an awesome room block rate (better than the one the Hyatt was offering us) and they upgraded us to their luxury suite!

I love the Westin!! It is an amazing and fabulous hotel!! I got the Kamaaina Rate which is for residents of Hawaii.

Btw, if you haven't checked out Maui Revealed the book yet, you should. Their accommodations reviews are online, but the book itself is SUPER helpful, and they didn't lead us astray with any of your planning when we went to Maui last year on vacay. Hey there.Sheraton and Westin are both owned by Starwood hotels. We're at the staying at the Westin Maui.  I know they have some really good rates right now; especially if you book a package (hotel and car) via a wholesaler like GoGo Vacations.  We got free room upgrades to ocean view and free breakfast daily.  Cheers.
