Oahu DJ & DOC

Hi! I am looking for some DJ recommendations in Oahu.  Any suggestions/recommendations would be great.  Also, if you can share what your experiences have been with them that would be helpful.  Also, I know in the past there were posts for a Day of Coordinator, but I can't find it   I looked at the vendor bios but didn't see much.  Any suggestions would be great.  I know KathE and Dianna Shitanishi are popular on this board TIA!

if you can the budget for it, go for troy michael. i've heard great things. i've also heard awesome things about our dj -- carlos 'the dj' feliciano. AND GO WITH KATHE!!! she's amazing!!!

We are working with Laurence from Sounds to Go Hawaii. He seems to be pretty good. Plus he worked to stick within our budget

Dianna is amazing!!!  Love her!  There are enough reviews of her on this board so I won't go into it.I booked Kristen who is the owner and DJ for 808 Vibe Productions.  She's super nice and has very reasonable rates.  She used to work out of Maui but recently moved back to Oahu and is just getting into the wedding DJ business on Oahu so not much people know about her yet.  She DJs at a lot of bars/clubs on island and I've heard it so I know she's good.  Here's her email: 808vibeproductions@gmail.com.  Tell her Staci sent you!

i would highly recommend ryan with hi def productions. he was so amazing and the music was great! he is such a nice person too and totally willing to make sure all my requested music was played! he kept us dancing and he was even able to find me an MC at the last minute. he is totally afforable and his talent way EXCEEDS his price! kathe is PERECTION! i cannot say enough about her. i still keep in contact with her because i loved her so much. she is totally organized and ensures that your day runs smooth. she is the perfect leader to direct the vendors and make sure your day is exactly how you envisioned it. i would be happy to answer any addtional questions. please feel free to e mail me at ryandjenatlani09 at g mail dot com.

I used Jason Akiona of Exquisite Entertainment and we LOVED him!  He played the list of songs we requested throughout the evening and found our obscure version of our seemingly obscure first dance song.  He played our ceremony procession song at the last minute (my uncle and his friend were going to play it live but I guess they changed plans).  I had no idea and it was perfect.  He timed my hula perfectly too.  And he has a great personality, is laid back (in a good way!) and accommodating but does an amazing job.  And he's so FUN.  He brought an assistant with him (which I wasn't expecting) but there was no additional charge.  And for us, he was the perfect price.  I also used KathE and had a great time working with her.  I echo everything the other girls have said about her!  My only regret was not relying on her more for things, but that was my fault.  One thing I loved is that she was willing to help out with tasks that other coordinators kind of scoffed at when I interviewed them (like setting up favors).  I was not stressed about the wedding at all on the day of, and that is so so priceless.  HTH!Tiff
