Slideshow vendor recommendations

Hi everyone, Does anyone have any recommendations of a vendor that can do a slideshow video for our reception? We used a couple companies for previous parties and we were not very satisfied with their work. Thanks

when you say slideshow video what do you mean? Just someone that will put your photos to music? do you have video?

Ya, just putting a bunch of old photos to music. We're not planning on hiring a videographer.

Interesting. What companies have you used before? I usually do it for my friends so I'm curious to see what people charge for that!

Yeah, I was just going to suggest that if you wanted something pretty simple and you or any of your friends own a Mac, you could easily do this in iPhoto.  All you would have to do is put the photos into an "album" and then click "slideshow"; under the settings you can add music from an iTunes playlist (i.e the music you would want for the background) and voila!  Done!  Then just burn it onto a DVD.  You could also do something a little more detailed in iMovie.  Let me know if you have any questions on how to do this.  The iPhoto route is so ridiculously easy.  I put together a slideshow for our ceremony photos and posted them up on our website.  It only took me a day.

We used North Shore Video for our daughters first bday party a few years ago & we paid around $300. We weren't really satisfied with the work for the dollar amount that we paid. We've been trying to find a friend to do it for us, but we don't know anyone that owns a mac. We just don't want to pay an outrageous amount of money to be disappointed again.
