I'll probably send these about 6 months out...then mail simple invites requiring an RSVP right before we leave for the wedding. Our AHR is almost 2 months after our wedding, so that should be plenty of time!

Ok I think ours will be more like 3 months after the wedding....do you think I should send save the dates now???? Or just wait and send invites 2 months out? I mean it is low key just a reception nothing too serious, I feel like 2 months should be enough time but what do I know?!?!?!

You may not even need to send Save the Dates...I'm only sending since summer is high season for weddings and I didn't want our friends making other plans. If you wanted to put your wedding picture on something, it would have to be the invites, right? You could send a casual invite for your AHR when you get back from the wedding...2-3 months would be perfect notice.

Tif - I think you're fine with not doing STD's, and only doing invites for your AHR.  Unless you've got ppl coming from out of town for the AHR, you only need invites.  Invites for weddings usually go out around 2 months out, so you should be fine with that for your AHR.Oh, and can I just say that I'm really looking forward to your vendor reviews?  kthx.  :)

Thanks Carrie! The vendor reviews I will post ASAP after the wedding!!! I promise!

Wow, I wish I had that much time for the AHR.  My mom plans to throw it just 3 days after we get back from Hawaii!!!  I guess it's because it's my grandmother's 85th birthday on the same weekend, so we'll have relatives from out of town, but wow, we'll be exhausted!
