Hello everyone, I'm very new here and I need some help :)My fiance and I are eloping to Maui in July 2010. I'm trying to figure out if it's necessary to hire a wedding planner. When checking out the Hawaii information site it says you have to have a permit to do a beach ceremony with insurance. Do we the couple need the insurance or does the minister that we hire need it? I guess I don't understand if we can skip the wedding planner companies and just do it ourselves or if we really do need them to take care of the permit issue. All we want to do is walk down to the beach, have a traditional Hawaiian ceremony, take some pictures and then go eat some good food and have some yummy drinks
