This article fails to mention the health care crisis on the Big Island - there are not enough doctors to treat the population. People have to wait a long time to see a doctor, even in "emergencies." And many true emergencies are only stabalized and sent to either Oahu or the Mainland. Kauai is not far behind. It's the biggest reason we decided to not move to the Big Island anytime soon. My BIL and his family just moved from the BI to Southern California with his in-laws to ensure availability of healthcare for their family.

Hmm... before I read MRSNFB's reply I was going to reply "Just another reason(/excuse) to move to Hawaii!" Hahaha!  But now I'm not so sure... Anyone know how good the healthcare system is in Maui?  :)
