Five Palms Restaurant

Anyone have any reviews about weddings and/or food at the Five Palms Restaurant in Maui? I know their management changed a while ago, so I'm looking for information from the last year. I've done the online review and knottie bio research but there's nothing about any recent weddings they've had there and what ppl thought of them and their food. Can't speak to having a wedding there, but we ate there one night and the food was delicious. Our server was really amazing, too.

Paddle, I was just looking at your gorgeous pics on Joanna's site earlier tonight and I didn't realize it was you. I've been thinking about going with her, too. I adore her style.

Joanna was really excellent. I only wish we had booked her longer! On top of being a great photographer, she is just so sweet and laid back. I was really happy we went with her.

I am having my wedding there in May 2010, and have been working with Kathryn Freedman, the wedding/event coordinator there.  I am doing most thing myself, but she is very helpful if I have any questions, going over details, suggesting things, etc.  I would say, unless you take over the entire resturant or the entire main floor, you kind of have to observe their rules (i.e if you just have part of the dinning room, your dancing and dance music can start at a certain time, rather than blasting dance/pop music whenever you want), but again, Kathryn is happy to go over all of that and work with you.Let me know if you have any other questions!
