PIP: Centerpiece Trial

What do you guys think?  I think the hotel will also provide 2 or 3 voltive candles per table.  We're thinking of going with a little taller vase and using table numbers like the one in the second picture.  Is it too plain?  Do you think a damask table runner would be too busy?  Should we give away the centerpiece...or is it not worth it since it's basically just a vase?Table Number Inspiration

OOh, is that a led light at the bottom of that vase? I'm not sure about the damask runner. If you're doing white orchids, then they aren't going to pop as much- unless you did a purple damask runner. How many vases are you doing on each table? Are they square or round? So many questions... =P

If you plan on doing a centrepiece like in pic one then i think it adds fullness and more interest if you group them in 3's and use different sizes or use 1 really tall vase...but that's just my opinion and preference. I really like the table number idea in the second pic.  J. :-)

Yeah, how did you get that light coming from the bottom of the vase? I love it! I like the idea of the vase and the table numbers, very cute. However, if you only used one vase, would the size of the table number take away from the flower centerpiece? It doesn't look like it does in the second picture but I just wonder if it would in real life...

I think this will look really nice in a tall vase.  I went to a wedding that had something similar and looked really nice.  They did let their guests take them home as gifts and I grabbed mine! I love it and use it all the time! Most of my guests will be OOT guests so I'm thinking of renting them...i don't think anyone would be able to pack them in their bags haha.  The damask runner will look nice, but I agree w/ PP that an accent color runner may look nice.  I love your table numbers too!

Yes, it's a submersible LED tea light.  We are thinking of either going with one taller glass or three glasses of varying heights.  Maybe a short wide one with floating candles?  We also aren't sure if we should use round or square vases.  I was orginally thinking square since our cake is square and it's a little more modern, but it will probably come down to what we can find at a good price.I'm not sure if the tables will be round or rectangle yet.  It depends on what our final guest count is.  We want round, but may have to go rectangle if we have more guests...I think I agree with the damask runner taking away from the orchids.  What do you think about a solid color runner (purple)?  Or should I just keep it clean and white?

Purple will look really nice...will you have purple elsewhere in your decor...like napkins, chair sash? J. :-)

I think solid coloured purple runner + damask napkins would be killer!

Oooh!  Ditto Kaesha's last comment!  I love your centerpiece idea!  I do think that if you go with just 1 it should be a really tall one so that it's more striking, or go with 3 with varying heights like you mentioned.  I think I like these better than a low one with the floating candles.  Maybe you could incorporate that one somewhere else at the reception... like the escort card table or the guest book table???

I really like the second picture a lot if you are going with just one vase.  It's fuller and doesn't get overpowered by the table number. If you want to use the submerged flowers, you should definitely do it in a group of 3 because it'll look kind of lonely by itself.  Unless you have a super tall one that is wide enough to not look sparce.  Also, since you are getting married indoors, I like more height as opposed to lower set vases with floating candles.  We just came back from an indoor wedding with low floating candles and the centerpiece kind of got lost among all the glassware on the table.Oh but I do love how the submerged flowers are lit up - gorgeous!
