Brides married on Maui-Cake suggestions?!

So, I am a total procrastinator and have yet to lock down a vendor to do my cake.  My WC recommended someone, but the pics on her website weren't very impressive.  I loved Maui Wedding Cakes site & their designs, but I've heard their cakes are sometimes dry & not too tasty.  Did anyone use them for their wedding & if so, how was it?I have been in contact with Cravings & was recommended by a friend.  However, they do not have a website.  Has anyone used them?  Reviews?Or, are there any vendors you would recommend...my wedding is in 2 months & I need to get on this!  Thank you for any information you'd be able to provide me with!!!

I'm using Cakes by JoAnn. I'm going with a 3-layer cake with each layer being a different flavor combo. She was able to mail me samples (I live in NYC) and I got them a couple of days later and they were delicious! So I can imagine how yummy it will be the day of! You can use any design off her website or send her a picture so she can replicate it for you. HTH!

BoBride - Thanks for the recommendation.  Can you share a general idea of what JoAnn's cakes cost - either by the slice, or however you can count it?  Thanks!

I used Celebrations Catering and their cake was AMAZING. Seriously, I'm still getting facebook posts asking about it. Moist cake, perfect buttercream (not to sweet)... and it was less than 250$ for 50 people!

Kaesha, did you also use them for catering your entire event or just for the cake.  I already have Cafe O'Lei lined up for catering, but I know Celebrations does awesome stuff.  I wonder if I could just have them do my cake?!

I used Maui Wedding Cakes. We had a Lilikoi Cheese Cake and it was AMAZING! They set up kind of a cheesecake buffet with chocolate and caramel sauce as well as strawberries, pineapple and other fruit. I still thinki about the cheese cake!

I used them for my entire wedding, but there's no harm in asking. It really was the best cake I've ever had!

Thanks ladies!  Looks like I may have renewed faith in Maui Wedding Cakes...I might have to go look @ them again.Still, no one ever used Cravings?  I heard they work with White Orchid a lot.  She's really nice, but I was hoping for some feedback from a former bride. =)

There aren't a lot of brides here from White Orchid Weddings - the last one was well over a year ago. I think a lot of people were turned off by their prices and lack of choice.

Carrie - she is making one based off a pic I sent her; 3 tiers, large enough to feed 86 people for something like $450. Mine is also square shaped.
