STDs

I saw my calendar and have less than 9 months to go....ahhhhh! I can't believe 2009 has gone by so fast.  I've been busy with work and school that I'm so tired at the end of the day and just want to crash.  Anyways I have yet to make or send out save the dates. Is 7-8 months notice still enough time?  Most of the guests we really want to invite already know about the wedding and I think it would be nice sending STDs so they will have a heads up about planning their vacations.

I just send our STDs this last weekend and our wedding is in July.. so that's abut 8 months out. I don't know the rules or anything, but I'd say 6 months or more out is fine. Our website was on the STDs too, which I felt was important because even though we pretty much know who's coming (ie everyone has booked all kinds of accomodations/airfare ect... they are more on top of it than us:)) I still wanted them to know they were formally invited and give them some help in planning. I say go for it if you want to!!!

We're sending ours in January for our 8/13 wedding. You're fine - just get them out by January.
