Wedding dresses

Long story short I thought I found THE dress at David Bridal.  I put it in "layaway" which means I had to put 25% down and have 60 days to pay it off. However, I began having second thoughts and made an appointment at Wendy's Bridal just to be sure.  Surpise surprise I found another dress I like even more!  It was more what I was looking for, more me.  I'm not worried on whether I'm making the right desicion, the second dress is the right one.  But, its more expensive and I'm going to lose 100 dollars on the David's Bridal dress.  My question is if anyone know is there has been a recent sale at Wendy's or if anyone knows if one is coming up soon.  Getting the dress on sale would help the cost difference, but I dont want to wait to long to order.Thanks for the help!

Side note:  I am having a cake tasting with Anita Kline tomorrow.  I am very excited and I have you guys to thank for the recommendation!

I know Wendy's does a big sale every once in a while where they offer 20% off dresses with a coupon in the mail you get once you sign up for offers. During their sale I would get four or five "coupons"/ads in the mail and the sale would last quite a while. I believe the last one just ended this past June though, so I don't know when the next one will happen. Sorry this isn't much help, but if you can wait, it helps to know the sale exists! Another thing you can do is look for the dress elsewhere and see if Wendy's will match the price for you. If not, see if Bridal and Formal in Cincinnati has the dress and have them match your cheapest price for you (found via internet or something -- Netbride, Pearls Place, RK Bridal, etc). They have the largest selection of dresses anywhere in the area, and they usually can beat that price as well to get you to buy. I got a good price from the Wendy's sale on my dress but had money put down at B&F already, so they took Wendy's price (cheapest I found), and beat it. HTH and good luck! Which dress is it?

Thanks for the suggestion.  Part of my problem is that Wendy's will not tell me the designer of the dress.  I can not get that information until I order.  I tried going through all their designers on their website and after four hours I still couldnt find it!  I'll try looking at those other bridal places see if I can spot it there.   Thanks!

That stinks! They wouldn't even tell you who the designer was when you asked? Hmm... B&F doesn't tell you the design, but they will tell you the manufacturer. It's to keep you from doing exactly this I suppose. I don't suppose you managed to snag a picture of you in the dress that you could post so that we can try to recognize it for you? The girls on The Dress board are crazy good at ID pictures of dresses. :P

Do you remember where in the store you pulled the dress from?  The first one or two racks nearest to the door are their private collection and you will not be able to get them elsewhere. I don't know when their next sale will be but that is where my dress is from so I get e-mails from them.  Next time I get one, I will post a PSA on this board.  Good luck!

I had a wedding gown appointment at Wendy's on Saturday and one of the sale consultants told me they will be running a 20% off sale in October.  This is all she told me she said they haven't released the dates or any other details.  I wouldn't call and ask because she said that she was not authorized to give this information out.  But just an FYI I don't know when your planning you wedding but if you could wait until October to order the dress to see if it would go on sale I would.  I mean 20% would take a nice chunk off the dress.

I am going to go on wednesday to try it on again.  Maybe I can sneak a picture!  Thanks for the heads up on the possible sale in october. I think I can wait till then itll give me about nine months to get the dress in!
