DJ Help and Recommendations!!??

We're at the stage where we need to probably book a DJ. Since I am not from Columbus, I am needing recs on your DJ that you are using/used. My main concern is that he keep the reception on track, NOT LOVE to hear himself talk ( think gameshow host type), and has great songs and style, and not be too expensive. I'm hoping to spend under $700 on a DJ.Thanks girls! I appreciate your advice!

Check out TEAM DJ. I don't remember the exact cost but I know that you can pick and choose what things you want and don't want. They may help you stay closer to your $700 budget. I have heard a lot of good things about them and using them for my May 2010 wedding!

We used Jeff Hunter and loved him. His pricing and available dates are listed on his site. www.djjeffhunter.com

We used Chris Snodgrass of Capitol City Sound and he was fantastic. Extremely professional, did not talk more than he needed to, and kept everyone dancing all night! Wonderful and within your budget.

I second Team DJ- I'm using them for my wedding, and I'm going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding in November that is also using them. My interactions with Todd and Pete have been great so far, and I trust Pete to play the styles we like.

Definitely check out Center Stage Productions!  Matt is the owner/DJ and he and his wife work as a team to keep your wedding on schedule.  We just booked them a few weeks a ago and they by far have the best price I have seen in all DJ's.  If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you as I'm very confident in Matt's skills and I'm excited to have him do our wedding!

I second Capitol City Sounds -- although we're booked with Chris Snodgrass's BIL, Chris Leas, and he's been so wonderful and prompt in responding with everything we need. Are you planning from OOT? If so, it helps even more to know that that communication is great. We're excited to have him at our wedding and he's nothing but professional, laid back, and very willing to listen to you. He's also right in your budget. Good luck! :)

I third team dj. Pete was the dj for our wedding and he was great. He kept everyone on track without being overbearing, and kept the dance floor packed even though we didn't have alcohol at our reception. We had a very specific playlist that we wanted for our dinner music (a lot of indie/alternative songs) and they made arrangements to get all of the songs that they didn't already have. We planned from OOT also.

Hands down Matt at Center Stage Productions. His new sound system is amazing. It is small, compact, looks great, huge sound and yet sounds amazing. Good luck
