I just saw on the Monday post that you are having your ceremony at Atherton Memorial Chapel too!!! Don't you just love it? I have actually never been inside but I've driven by tons of times. Since I've been away for school, I haven't gotten the chance to check it out (FI did it for me!).

Have you thought about decorations/flowers at all? The only thing I wasn't crazy about there was that we have to use their music, nothing recorded!

I do love it! FI checked it out for me too since he lives there and I don't but from everything he's told me and the pictures, I'm in love! He forgot to ask about the music so aaaah I didn't know about that! lol but it's ok, I was actually moving away from the idea of recorded music anyway. For flowers and decor, I'm not sure yet. We have a limited flower budget so we were thinking we might just DIY most of the ceremony decorations, leaving more room for bouquets/leis. I've tried to make a tissue pomander as a test but it didn't come out so well lol!

I know someone on here made a tissue pomander... not sure who but you could try asking! It came out looking pretty nice as I recall!

You and I are both long distance with our FIs in Hawaii! How cool!

I had Linda Kidani (the wedding director) send me a packet of info that had stuff about the music in there. They have certain selections you can pick from. I was going to ask her if I could get them played on a piano instead of the organ next time I talk to her.

Oh yeah, I have this random picture I found on Flickr of how someone decorated the aisles - looks cool! I want to do it if it's not too expensive :)

I think the pomander was just a result of my limited craft skills lol, I'm gonna try again but smaller this time. Practice makes perfect!

That picture is a nice idea, I might have to do that! It looks pretty inexpensive too. I'll have to get in touch with Linda. I was planning a trip there over the holidays but as usual, money rules and I won't be able to go :( Do you think it would be possible to have someone play songs on the ukulele for the ceremony? FI and his friends are great players and it would be nice to incorporate that somehow, esp if there's just an organ or piano available.

Long distance sucks! But it's not for too much longer! yay :)

    yeah not much longer! :)

I think you can have other people play instruments, but the church has to hear a sample/recording to approve it!
