Q's on vendors and beach location at Maui

Hello ladies.  I've finally started planning our wedding in Maui for this Sept.  It'll just be FI and myself so I've been slacking on getting things started.

Anyway, wanted to get your thoughts on the following vendors if any of you happen to have worked with them.

WC - A Dream Wedding Maui Style - Tracy
Photog - Hula Girl Photography
Wedding location - Iron Woods Beach
Make up - Camikomakeup

Still left to do, hair stylist, dinner reservation for wedding night and a simple bouquet.  Any suggestions?  We'll be staying in West Maui @ Honua Kai Resort.

Thank you all in advance, as always, you ladies are so helpful!  Couldn't have gotten this far w/o you!!!  Laughing

I can only provide places for dinner recommendations! If you're looking for something fancy (on the West Side), I would suggest Roy's, Merriman's, Pacific'O, I'o restaurants. Maybe for your bouquet, you can have your wedding planner scope one out for you since, I'm assuming, it'll just be you needing one, maybe? I guess that's the extent of it! Hehe.

For your bouquet, check with Whole Foods. They sometimes do arrangements / wedding flowers. Otherwise, we used Bella Bloom. Your coordinator should be able to recommend others. As for dinner, Mala has great food but a mediocre view. Haliimaile General store has amazing food and no view. Mama's has mediocre food and a rocking view. I haven't tried merriman's, Roy's or gannon's.

  • We are chosing Merriman's and I'm actually getting my makeup done by Camiko makeup in August. The price was right and I am getting a trial the day before as well for a very good price. Her resume speaks for itself and her pictures and natural and classic which is what I'm looking for. I didn't hesitate on her after I read some reviews and checked out her work. Her email skills and professionalism are on point as well. I'm going with Shelly from Mariah's Mane for hair. Hoping for the best with her, she seems to be very zany and fun.

  • Merriman's is right on the water, and Roy's is in a strip mall in Kahana (I'd call that less than a view, LOL!). I used Bella Grace Flowers - super responsive, great prices and really beautiful work.
  • I've heard fabulous things about Pineapple Grill at Kapalua Resort.
I think that's up where you are.
