Rehearsal Dinner in Gahanna

We are trying to plan our rehearsal dinner for next July and we would like to find a place in Gahanna. We are getting married at a church there but haven't found a place for rehearsal. Please let me know if you have any ideas!! We would like to keep it casual and fun!

Old Bag of Nails is in old downtown Gahanna district. It's a nice place with great food.

I agree with the above - we had our rehearsal dinner and they were very flexible. I don't think they're allowing groups in the upstairs of the restaurant anymore - they'd probably have you next door at the Pour House

There's the italian restaurant Mezzo at Creekside.  My cousin had dinner there with about 25 people before Prom last year and she went on and on about how easy they were to work with (I think they ended up paying a flat rate per person) and how good the food was.You should really check it out, the food and the atmosphere are amazing!

It depends on your budget and style. Mezzo can be expensive, even though it is very nice. If you a looking for VERY casual, you could book the brand new shelterhouse at Hannah Park on Clark State Road. It has 2 fireplaces, a beautiful white barn look, closeable walls, etc. I'm having my RD there next June 2010 and getting Hoggy's to cater it. I believe it was $40 to rent it. You will need to get a permit for alcohol though. Friendship Park in Gahanna would be similar, it has open sides though in inclement weather :-/

Cap City Diner! We would've had ours there in a heartbeat, but it was too far a drive for us to justify. The Columbus location is right near us, but they don't have a private room like the one in Gahanna.

I rented the golf course clubhouse.  It was great!  They do not allow alcohol (which I didn't mind, it kept the cost down).  It was very relaxed.  We just brought in a bunch of pizzas and cokes.

Going to Champps at Easton. They are letting us design our own menu and they have lots of meals that range between 10-13 dollars. It isn't a far drive from Gahanna and a great choice if you are working with a limited budget.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Champps at Easton and it was fabulous.  They let us have the whole indoor patio, we chose our own menu, we were able to decorate and it was very intimate and perfect ;-)

I liked the park idea! However, Hannah park is booked for a camp on July 16th :(. Woodside green is available, does anyone know about that park? Are you allowed to bring alcohol if you obtain a permit? I didn't think you could do that. Let me know! Thanks, B
