Wedding/Honeymoon Hotel in Maui

Hi ladies,

I am getting married at Gannon's in October.  I am going to be staying with our guests at the Wailea Beach Marriott. After the wedding, my FI and I would like to go to another hotel for an additional week.  We were looking at the following hotels:

-Ritz Carlton
-Westin
-Hyatt Regency
-Sheraton

Which one would you suggest for the rest of our time in Maui??

The Ritz is GORGEOUS, but not close to anything.

The Westin...I prefer the Westin Villas over the regular Westin.  You get a full kitchen / washer / dryer...it's my favorite luxury property on the island.  You can also buy meats from Costco / Safeway and grill out poolside with their complimentary gas grills.

Don't have experience with the Sheraton or Hyatt, other than they are in a busy, touristy area.

<div>That sounds amazing! A part of me wishes we didn't book all of our hotels (we're staying in 3 different hotels on Maui) so we could do that! Maybe when we return for our anniversary :)</div>

See, I love Kapalua, where the Ritz is located. I'm really anti being around people a lot of the time, so if you want to get away from it all, it's definitely the choice for you.

Don't have much to offer about the others, but when we were at the Westin in Kaanapali, it was positively overrun with kids.  Not restful or romantic AT ALL.  I was really glad we weren't staying there.

Hm, I am hearing this more & more lately.  Maybe I need to add that to the disclaimer.  It was a ghost town when we were last there, but maybe it depends on the season & time?  I agree with Alyson that the Ritz is a fabulous place to hide away.

Speaking of the Ritz...look at the portrait on the edge fo the cliff.  GORGEOUS.
