Good Rustic Outdoor Venue in Central AL?

We're just beginning our search for our perfect venue, and we're finding a lot of nothing. We really like the area around the barn of The Sonnet House, but I'm having a really, really hard time spending that much money on the venue rental.

I'm waiting to hear back from J & D Farms, but was wondering if anyone knew of anything else similar? We're looking for a great outdoor area, preferably with plenty of trees and ideally with a barn, and with a backup indoor area for about 150 guests...

I'm willing to go as far north as around Cullman, as far south as Montgomery.

Thanks!

I do no what you mean! I have already found my venue so I have thrown away my list. lol This is the second time just this week I wish I hadn't. If your being budget conscious as am I my venues is awesome if I say so my self. lol It is The Old House at Meriwether. I know it doesn't have a barn and what not, but I just thought I would throw it out there. It is in lapine, al.  Try searing on Alabama bridal. There is The Elms in Millbrook,al. Buna Vista in Prattville, al.  Hill Side Manor in Montgomery, al. Try searching for B&Bs also you may find the look you are going for. Good Luck. I will post again if I can think of any other places.

American Village in Montevallo has a barn - I actually got married at American Village myself and the staff there is AMAZING!!

Also, try Huckleberry Farms in Jasper.

    Good Luck!!

I highly recommend StoneBridge Farm in Cullman. It doesn't have a lot of trees on the site itself, but the venue is out in the midst of trees. There is a barn, but it really isn't a ceremony site. However, I think it has the feel you may be looking for. The upside is that the price is very affordable and the owners are great to work with. Their website is www.stonebridgewedding.com. The pictures on the website doesn't do it justice, but it will give you an idea.

If you're still looking, my venue has so far turned out to be a great value for the price... Which was a bit much at 2k, but considering all the extras, it's turned out to be fantastic! (And as for a 'back up' rain location, it doesn't get any better than an old school hardwood chapel!) It's Hargis Wedding Chapel, they have a bare-bones website at http://www.hargisweddingchapel.com/ but it doesn't do it justice!

In addition to the wedding location for the day before and wedding day (you can use the whole day Friday to set up, until 5pm at the 'museum' which is the indoor reception area, and until you're ready to leave outside and at the chapel) the guy who runs it also includes all the antique china, flatware and stemware that they have on hand! And tables! All you need is tablecloths and chairs, which he has for a small rental fee... And he's a total free spirit, you won't find many restrictions about caterers, tents, or really anything that we've run across so far! We just ask and he's always said yeah sure, that's fine =)
