Catering help!

My fiance and I are looking for a cheap caterer in the Columbus area. Our budget is kind of low and we just can't afford 20/pp!  I don't even know if it's possible to find a cater who serves $10 or less per person and still be good quality but if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks!

Have you thought about some thing like CIty BBQ or Hoggys?  We have had them cater work functions, and it is always yummy!

Try Laura's Catering (www.lauras-catering.com / laura@lauras-catering.com). I honestly don't think she turns away ANY budget. We did a pasta buffet (with two meats, plus two apps, rolls and salads) for $15 per person. I'm almost positive she will be able to find something to do within your budget, and her food is super yummy (we still have people asking us who our caterer was because the food was so good and we got married in September).

Yes we have thought about that! i noticed someone mentioned City BBQ on another thread and I had never thought about it before! Definitely an option for us :)

City BBQ was $10.95 per person for their Traditional Buffet (2 meats, 2 sides) :) If you want Full-Service, they take 20% of your food total and add it onto the final bill. Winni was really nice in her corespondance! They only have disposable plates, forks, etc. which is no huge deal unless you are going with a super fancy look :) We didn't end up going with them (We are using Nicole's Catering) but I had City BBQ at a wedding once and it was yummy!! Who doesn't love bbq?? Oh, and at City BBQ, if you want "appetizers" they have fruit, cheese and veggie trays! I believe they were like $70 a piece or something but each served 50 people. I think she told me white linens were even included. Might want to check them out!

Laura Ball is not $10pp, but she is cheap and a Columbus Knot legend.  Her website is http://www.boardwalkcatering.com/

    Good luck!

I'm using hoggy's and it's pretty cheap and really good. I was at a wedding where they had city bbq and the food was great but the guy delivering it wasn't very nice at all, nor very helpful.

A previous neighbor, Susan Eckles, works with this company. Some of her lunch menus or simple fare stuff might be a something to look into. I was going to go with her for a dinner reception, but our venue fell through, so now going with a country club. Her kids go to the school my mom works at and she is always texting me what she made for teacher appreciation day or just brought into the teacher lounge. My mom loves when she comes in and brings food!
