Hi ladies!
So... FI and I are currently out of town for a wedding that is on Monday evening.
I put FI in charge of ordering a gift for the couple while I was out of town this week visiting family. He didn't order anything. In the car on the way here, I asked him if he brought his checkbook and he forgot that too. I'm trying not to get frustrated, but I REALLY hate the fact that we don't have a gift for this couple. I've heard that technically you have a year after the wedding to give a couple a gift, but I feel bad going to the reception "empty handed."
What do you think I should do? We have a few options.
1. Drive to the nearest BB&B (about 20 min away), buy a gift from their registry, wrap it, and bring it to the reception
2. Order something online today and have it shipped to them, but it won't reach them until after the wedding
Maybe this sounds petty, but I'm not sure what to do. Advice?
