Invitations - Sarah at So Inviting Desgins A++
Sarah has her own business in downtown Worthington. She created my wedding invites, programs, place cards, and table numbers. She created a customized design that utlized my color scheme and looked amazing! Everyone complimented me on my wedding invitations. She mimiced the desgin from the invites for my place cards, programs, and table numbers. She had such wonderful ideas and helped where she could in cutting costs and providing cheaper options. She was really great and I absolutely loved everything she created!

Videographer - Anthony Gardner AGinc A
Anthony is a student at Otterbein majoring in film. My husband works with his dad and his dad referred him to us. He works along with another coworker to film the ceremony and reception. I have not yet seen the video yet, but he was very easy to work with and based on the wedding samples he showed us I am sure will do a great job. He even came to the OSU stadium where we had pics taken after the ceremony to film us goofing around and tossing the football. He is just starting his business so they don't have contracts or paperwork to sign yet, but are still very thorough and professional.

Rehearsal Dinner - Tony's Italian Ristorante A
Tony's is located on High Street in the Brewery District. They have 2 private rooms one which has an attached patio which we reserved. Tony's is a really cute restaurant with great food. They are one of the most affordable restaurants downtown for a rehearsal dinner and there are no minnimums. The only downside is you work directly with Tony, the owner. He does not make any deals or bargains and everything is what it is. So don't expect to negotiate with him. However, the appetizers, drinks, and dinner turned out great! I would definitely eat there again.

Dress - Wendy's Bridal on Sawmill A
I went to Wendy's several times to try on dresses. My favorite person to work with was Lil. She was amazing and pulled the dress that I actually ended up buying. She had great ideas and pulled dresses that flattered me. The other 2 times I came in I didn't get the same great service. I was so annoyed that they cut out all the designer names from all the dresses. They also measured one of my bridesmaids and when she called back to get her measurements over the phone since she is pregnant they would not provide them to her. I loved my dress, but not the service.

Bridesmaid Dresses - Alany Ray B+
I ran into a few difficulties with Alan Ray. The dresses came in several weeks later then they should of and this caused problems in getting the dresses to my bridesmaids in time. Alan Ray didn't offer an compensation or to pay for the cost to mail them to my bridesmaids homes. It ended up all working out but I was not happy with there service or the way this was handled. However, the dresses were absolutely beautiful and exactly what I ordered. They had such a great selection of bridesmaid dresses.

Alterations - Linda Hine A+
Linda works out of her home in Lewis Center. She did a fabulous job altering my dress and creating my bustle. My bustle was so unique and looked fabulous!  A few days before my wedding I kinda freaked out and though the dress was to tight on my back and that some skin was hanging over a bit. She rearranged her schedule to have me come in and try different options to feel the most comfortable in my dress.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for the videographer? I was just thinking that I might want to do this but it's not really in my budget. I see that he's a student though so it's probably reasonable. If you would rather email me then post the price my email is zappochick7@hotmail.com. Thanks!!

Thanks for the reviews!  I have a question about how alterations work.  My dress just came in (from Wendy's) but I want to get alterations elsewhere (I think I would like to use Linda Hines after all the great reviews) because I've heard bad things about Wendy's alterations.  So since I'm OOT bride, my mom will be picking up my dress from Wendy's, without me getting to try it on or see it or anything.  Is that the last I will ever interact with Wendys?  When I'm ready for alterations (maybe xmas time) do I just schedule an appointment with Linda?  I'm just a little confused how it works!  Thanks!

As long as you've paid for your dress, you should have no more interaction with Wendy's.  I used Linda for my alterations, and think she did a great job.  I would call her and see when she starts scheduling fall/winter appts.   Since you are out of town, you want to have your first choice of appointments because you will only be here certain times.  I believe she usually does 3 fittings.  For my dress, I needed it taken in, hemmed, and a bustle.  The first fitting was trying on and measuring everything, etc.  The second fitting she had it hemmed and taken in and measured for the bustle, and the final fitting she showed me how to do the bustle and checked to make sure I was satisfied with everything.

For the videographer, Anthony Gardner. I would email or call him in regards to pricing. He gave us a great deal, but since his business has really started to pick up he may have uped his costs. His email is agard05@aim.com and his phone # is 614-203-0796.

Funny you should say that about Alan Ray. I was in my best friend's wedding in October and the dresses came in VERY late. I called a few times, since I was the only BM in town, and they wouldn't give me any info. Finally the bride's mother called and they told her the dresses were held up in customs and would in at the end of the week. The dresses finally came, but guess what? They had a huge tag on them saying "Made in the USA."  If you're going to lie, please use a good one....  When I was looking for BM dresses for my wedding, I refused to go to Alan Ray. I didn't want a repeat performance.  My dress and my BM's dresses are coming from Bridal and Formal in Cincy. They haven't come in yet....(wedding is in Jan. '11) so we'll see!
