and another...directions won't fit on invites....

Can we put a website on our invites or save the dates where our guests can find directions?  Our invitations are the fold and send, so there is really not a whole lot of space.  Or, do we just need to find an invite where we can include directions and 'bite the cost'?

We put a card in the invite envelope that said, "Directions, accomodations and more information can be found at www.blahblah .com".I think that's more than sufficient.

Yep, absolutely.  We put our website on both (the STD and the invite).

Even if your invites are fold and send, you can put an insert in them and then just secure the sides with clear circular stickers. We included the URL of our website on an insert (NOT on the actual invitation - too formal to messy it up with a URL). You can definitely include it on the STD because that is a less formal piece. HTH!

Though it may seem hard to believe, there are still people in this world who survive without computers and the internet...  Some of them may be your guests.I agree with the PP, you can still use your same invites just secure the sides with dot stickers or clear tape and put the sheet with the directions info in there.  You can even use a folded 8 1/2x11 sheet or half sheet of paper to do this if you want to keep it on the cheap.  No one EVER complains about having a GOOD set of directions (even if on regular paper!) when they're from OOT!!  It's a utility portion of the invite, doesn't need to be fancy, just needs to get people there.

PS--when I say "on the invite", I mean we put the url on an information card inserted in the invitation. (If you seal the edges of your folded invitation, you could still fit an insert card in.)The point I was trying to make was that you don't want to JUST have the info on the STD cards, because you may not be sending the STD cards to everyone who ultimately receives an invitation.

Yep, lots of people don't use computers.I should have been more clear.  We didn't put directions on the invites (included the card with website).  However, we will have maps and directions avaliable for out of town guests and the hotels we had room blocks at.  That's always an option too!
