Need transportation info/suggestions

So I'm looking into transportation right now, but looking into multiple options.  I just can't see spending 200+ an hour for multiple hours for a limo.  It seems to be the going rate, so I'm also looking into renting a 15 passenger van for our wedding party.  Have any of you done this? Also, when leaving your ceremony, did you go with your wedding party, or leave in your own "getaway" car?  I've seen it both ways.  We have a large wedding party, and are getting married in downtown Mpls.  I don't want my wedding party to have to pay for parking.......Wow.....coordinating time and cars.....confusing task!!

We rented an SUV for Fri - Sunday (under $200 total) and had a friend drive us. We used it for hauling decorations, day-of transportation, and loading gifts into after the reception. It was roomy enough for my dress, and pretty convenient. If you have someone who wouldn't mind driving, I'd highly recommend that.

We used Richfield Bus Co - they were around $400 for 6 hours for a mini-coach that seated 25 or so.

We rented a large passenger van and used it to drive the wedding party to our photo location, provide shuttle transport between the hotel and venue, haul stuff home (or, to the hotel, and then home the next day) after the wedding, and transport guests to misc. wedding-related events over the course of the weekend. It was very affordable and more practical than just renting a limo for the day-of.  I don't know the price, because my husband handled it.  We hired a former assistant of mine to drive the van back and forth on the wedding day.  The only bad thing was that my husband didn't get things arranged earlier enough to properly notify the guests about the transportation options ahead of time (and the DJ/MCs were not clear about their announcements), so nobody used the shuttle service we'd arranged.  Not one single guest.  Oh well--we tried :(

I was thinking we might just get a getaway car for ourselves. It might be the only time that day that my new husband and I can be alone together. And I don't know if I want to deal with the headache of 20 people riding together.
