Eye Makeup Ideas?

I had my makeup trial a few weeks ago and I had the smokey eye look.  It turned out well, but I keep going back and forth between that and a more natural look. Are there good websites for makeup ideas?  I'd like pictures of people with closed eyes, so I can see what it looks like.  Any good sites for inspiration?

I don't have any sites but just wanted to say that on the wedding day I will be wearing a little more natural looking eye makeup because I want to look more like myself (might do fake eyelashes though) and then for our TTD session I'll do a smoky eye look because I like how it looks in pics but not so much in person (on me).

Something to think about with the smokey eye is that it will be more noticable if the makeup smudges, creases, or fades than with a natural color.  You'll probably be wearing the make-up for 10+ hours.  Even professionally done make-up fades eventually.

I guess it would depend on how "smokey" the smokey look is. I agree that it may smudge...but that's kinda what the smokey look is all about. If your makeup person uses quality makeup, primers, and water/smudge proof stuff, you should be good to go. You could do something in between as well...a bit of an enhanced natural look, but not too dark or heavy. This way your eyes will be more enhanced in pics, but won't look too heavy in person either.

I don't think a smokey look necessarily leads to more smudging, if the makeup is of higher quality. I went with a somewhat smokey look - dark, and with a gradient. While it looked like kind of a lot in person (to me, since I don't normally wear much), it didn't look out of place at all in pictures. I think it helped give me a more 'polished' look on the wedding day, but then that's because my eyes are the feature to play up on me. I have some trial pics (with closed eyes) in my planning bio, and wedding day pics of how it turned out in my married bio.I would check out www.projectwedding.com if you haven't already, for inspiration. Also poke around on makeup artists' websites. But I'd say try the natual look on yourself, take some pics and see what you like best. GL!
