BM Dress Shopping

This weekend we are going shopping for BM dresses. We are cutting it pretty short on time.I would prefer to find something not so wedding-y if that makes sense. I would also prefer to find something nice, and floor length for a reasonable price. Preferably under $100. I don't want them to have to spend a ton, but I do want them to look nice and be comfortable. We were planning to hit up the mall, Macy's, Herberger's etc. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. The color I am looking for is a cobalt or royal blue. I was googling boutiques after seeing a PP of a dress found at a boutique, but I suppose those are pretty pricey huh? Thanks!!

A friend of mine picked out her bridemaid dresses at Deb for well under $100 and they were really cute.

We found a brown cocktail type dress at the Wedding Shoppe (Davinci line).  However, we ended up ordering through netbride.com, because the dresses were over $30 cheaper there, even with shipping.  The girls were all from different states, so having them all go to TWS was impossible anyway.

Right now Macys is having a sale. The BM dress that I'm going with is a BCBG normally it's $348 (expensive and it's now $220, still a little high in prices, however they aren't buying shoes because it's a long dress. Also they probably won't need to get it tailored at all. I would definitely check out Macys, downtown Minneapolis has a great selection of dresses. Also at Mall of America there is a Jessica McClintock store not sure what they have but if you head out that way you should check it out :) Also where are you buying your dress? The place I got mine from offers a 15% discount on BM dresses. (I'm doing cobalt, royal blue, ink color too!) Good luck shopping!

one of my friends used a floor length dress from nordstrom, which i believe is $98 (def $100 or less). you can order it online or order it to the store, and they do alterations right there. (i'm sure you could go elsewhere for cheaper though)

Ann Taylor has a line called Celebrations that you might want to check out. Also try Flutter boutique - lots of unique dresses. Not sure about price though... Try Cache and Nordstrom (and Nordstrom Rack) as well - HTH
