Dinner Places - DT Mpls

For my bachelorette party, we are trying to find a place to eat dinner.  My BMs booked a room at the Doubletree DT Mpls so preferably somewhere close, but we're open to cabbing it somewhere too.  TIA!

The newsroom can handle bigger groups if you make reservations, and it's super close to the doubletree.

Is it the Double Tree, or the Hotel Minneapolis (which is also doubletree hotel)?

Either way, most places downtown are walkable.

If your group is willing to go a little ethnic, Om, or Saffron are fun places to go with group. Otherwise, Nick and Eddie or Cafe Lurcat down by Loring Park are yummy. Porter and Frye could be fun and fancy. The list could really go on and on: Barrio, BANK, Kierans, Zelo, Mission, D'Amico Kitchen, 112 Eatery, Bar la Grassa, Oceanaire, Melting Pot, Mannys, Solera, FireLake, Masa, Palomino, RockBottom... I am sure I am forgetting a bunch, but depends really on what kind of food you like, and what kind of scene your girls want to get into! Good Luck... and now I am wanting to go out for dinner :)

Melting Pot is always fun! I also like Zhatar (they have a private room too) and Barrio.

Like Qston said....there are tons of restaurants, and it really depends on the mood/scene you're looking for!

The reason that I am having a problem is because I work across the street from the Doubletree & I don't want to go to the same places that I go for lunch.  We're leaning towards Barrio, but I've heard that their portions are pretty small and since we're planning to hit the bar scene afterwards, I'd like to be full enough that I'm not done at 9pm.  Thanks for all the suggestions, if you have more, keep them coming.

Fogo de Chao is my favorite in the area.  It's not cheap, but the food is incredible, and it keeps coming for as long as you want it.  I think they have a banquet room for large groups, too, or at least can set you up with a long table.  I've seen them do that before.

Palomino and Solera are also great for nibbles, and Bar Lurcat has amazing sliders, among other great appetizers.

My favorites downtown are Palomino and Capital Grille. I didn't like Barrio's atmosphere or the food, but I'm more lowkey and Barrio is a bit of a hipper crowd :)

We had dinner at Palomino for my bachorlette party about 4 weeks ago.  My sister and I considered many places as I had many friends coming who would like different price points for dinner.  Where one might think $20 is a lot of one might like $40 is a nice amount for dinner.  Palomino had many options for different price points so that's how we ended up picking it.  Plus I really like their food.

    Have fun!!!!

I've never had a full dinner there, but Seven has a cool atmosphere.  I did have some apps there and those were really good.

I second Seven - their food is really good and the atmosphere is great.  I think you can also get a $10 giftcard when you sign up for their email list (At least you could a couple months ago...)
