Anyone using a wedding website for RSVPs?

I'm trying to "be green" while also saving some green. We are asking all of our guest to RSVP on our wedding website. Has anyone else used their website on The Knot for this purpose? What was your experience? I would like the guest to also be able to indicate whether they are attending both the ceremony and the reception or just one of the functions.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm going to old fashion route, so I have no experience there.  However, from what I hear from others is they provide another option such as a  call in number for older people who might not have computer etc.

My future sister-in-law is having guests RSVP via their wedding website.  They are using ewedding.com.  When you click to RSVP, it asks if you will be attending the ceremony and/or reception.  You are also able to enter each person's name that will be attending, so you won't have to put "and Guest" anywhere.  I thought she mentioned that it puts everything in an Excel spreadsheet afterwards, so that'd be nice.  I think she was planning on having reply cards for the older crowd that wouldn't have access to a computer/Internet.  Definitely worth looking into!

I would've liked to use our wedding website for RSVPs, but there are more than a few people coming that aren't internet proficient.  In the end, it made it easier and less expensive (DIY materials and postage) to do postcards.

We had a friend use a website, which we thought was helpful. But many of the people we invited to our wedding are not computer literate, I think they would forget if they didn't have something tangible as a reminder, and our wedding is more formal, so the old fashioned way was good for us. As our RSVPs came in, I've noticed I got giddy and anxious to open the envelope and see who's response is inside...There's something about opening the envelope that's exciting!
