Ordering BM dresses!

Hi Ladies!  So we've narrowed our BM dress choices down to 2 (I'd love to post pics but am challenged in that department!).  My question is regarding the services received at the local dress shops.  We went to Flutter and had a FAN-tastic experience...Higly recommend!!  The reality is, however, you can order the same dresses online at a MUCH lower price.  Have any of you done this?  I know it's risky to not get professionaly fitted and realize we might end up ordering the wrong sizes, but we're talking like $50 less online so are considering it.  In general do the dress shops pay for shipping when you order through them?  If they do, then it probably makes the most sense for me to order them through Flutter with the fitting.  If we have to pay for shipping anyway, we may consider ordering online even more.

Thanks (again!) for your advice.

We ordered my MOH's dress from Flutter - I also highly recommend! - and the price of the dress was the price my sister paid, so I believe their list prices already include their expenses.

I say go with Flutter - you're less likely to have any issues with ordering and if there are problems you can go in and they'll work it out. Plus you're supporting a locally owned wedding-related business that isn't pushy, annoying, or insane in any way - a bonus!

We ordered ours through www.netbride.com (online company, but located in MLPS).  We didn't have any trouble at all and would recommend them.  Full review in bio.

I also ordered through NetBride.   Ordered them the end of March and they arrived  last week - so about 9-10 wks turnaround.  I haven't actually seen them yet as they went to my sister's house in MN and I'm in NE.  I can report further once I talk to her.   Each BM went to a bridal shop to get measured....2 actually went to shops where they sold the designer's line of dresses, so the salespeople were familiar with the dress.   The dresses from Net Bride were about $50 cheaper than in any store that I found as well, that's why I ended up going with them.   I had posted something here before I ordered to get people's opinions and no one had anything negative to say about Net Bride....in fact, most said how great they were.   Good luck.

I doubt you would have to pay for shipping if you order them through Flutter.  We just ordered our dresses through Wedding Shoppe, and you don't pay shipping as long as you have them all sent to one address, so they're all getting sent to my parent's house.

Did you check to see if any other local stores carry the line. I found we could save $40+ dollars on the dresses we loved at Flutter by ordering them at the Wedding Shoppe or Rush's.
