Taking Recommendations for Makeup!

I've decided to splurge and get my makeup done for my wedding! It seems worth it to have that stressor out of the way on the big day. My MOH is insisting on it - and it IS her duty to keep me stress free. :) I would love to hear your recommendations, please!

Keep in mind I am in the South/East suburbs and I am normally a makeup minimalist. Like, I don't wear foundation, ever. Gasp!

TIA ladies!

Brett Dorrian is fantastic.  She's about double what Smart & Chic is, but if you're looking to splurge, she's well worth it.  I normally don't wear any makeup at all, and I never even comb my hair, but she made my head look fabulous and it lasted from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm.  Also, as long as you're in the TC area, she'll go where you need her at no extra charge.  I can't say enough great things about her.  She was the single best vendor decision I made and I have no regrets about it whatsoever.  Worth every last penny.

I went to a place called Spa Aafusion in Burnsville and worked with Anna there- I thought she did a great job! I don't usually wear much makeup and she did a great job of making me look better but I still totally looked like my natural self :) The prices there were a lot better than other places I found and its a nice relaxing spa like atmosphere to keep you calm the day of!

I'm using MN Bridal Makeup Artistry for both my wedding next summer and engagement pictures later this month.  They came highly recommended by my photographer and I can't wait to use them!

I am using Smart & Chic. They do the airbrush foundation and will also travel without an additional charge in the metro area. I have a lot of travel charges on mine since I want them to come to my wedding on the North Shore... o-well worth it since no one on the range can do the same services.

Another vote for Smart and Chic!

However, I used Hana-April from Mani Mela for my boudoir makeup and she's fantastic!  I normally don't wear much makeup either but the airbrush made my skin look flawless!  Highly recommend her as well.

I'm going to MAC in Southdale Macy's. Went in for a color consultation yesterday and it turned out amazing! It's free, but you have to purchase $50 in product. Definitely schedule appointments though as they are pretty booked!

I third Brett Dorrian!  She is both my photographer and my hair and makeup artist!  Check out her website: brettdorrianartistrystudios.com.  Her before and after pics speak for themselves!
    Good luck!
