Clintonville Womans Club Food? (Brides and Reception Guests, come on in!)

We have the venue tenatively booked for our date, but we need to seal the date.

What I want to know is, has anyone had their wedding there, or been to a reception there? What food did you have, and how did it taste?

The cake is provided by Bachman's Cakes of Distinction in Powell, is anyone familiar with them? I read reviews on Google and they don't sound too good. We have the option to use another baker, but we're obviously trying to save money by using the baker included in the cost of the reception package at CWC.

Any advice is appreciated!!

Update: We actually got three tasting cakes from Bachman's and will probably be going with another cake vendor. They're not bad, but the "buttercream" icing is extremely sweet.

Piece of Cake in the Short North is wonderful. We will be using them. We are purchasing table cakes (23 in total) and a cutting two layer cake, and they are delivering it to us over an hour away and its still under $1000

I am getting married there. The food is not *the best* but its not bad.  I advise you to ask Kristen about vegetarian options.  We just had the sundried tomato ravioli and it was AMAZING.  They do a lot more options than just what is on the catering menu.  I am still getting my cake from there to save money.  Mosty people don't even eat the cake.  We got the kaluha chocolate chip cake with mocha filling.  I actually thought it was really good.  The other flavors we tried I didn't like.

I attended a wedding there.  It was Prime rib, potatoes, mixed veggies, salad, and a ravioli and some kind of bread.  It was actually pretty good and the wedding was beautiful.
