Help!!! Mom is taking charge - or is she?

So....I spent today (Mother's Day) with my mom and she informed me that her hair stylist (who has also been mine since I was 5 but most recently I haven't been going to someone else) and her talked and that she's taking the day of my wedding off to come to the site and do my mom's, grandma's, aunts hair. I haven't EVEN thought of who I'm going to have do my hair or even my bridesmaids .....and I wasn't planning on having this stylist do it. (The last time she cut my hair, she layered half of it and not the other...it was butchered).
Now, I kind of feel obligated for her to do my hair...since she's already going to be there? Thoughts? Also, I'm a bit frusterated with my mother. I kind of feel like she "booked" her without even asking me. Should I be feeling a bit aggraviated, or am I totally overreacting? HELP!

You shouldn't feel obligated to have her do your hair, doing a brides hair is different than doing a moms! It sounds like your mom is trying to make a gesture towards her stylist and do something nice for her mom and sisters. If she was trying to control she would have asked the stylist to do yours as well, I can see how it would be frustrating though

If you don't want something - you have to speak up for yourself.  I'm sure your Mom has no clue that a) you want someone different and b) that you no longer care for your former stylist's talents.  Say something now before it becomes a problem.

Honeslty if the hair stylist is doing your mom's, aunt's, and grandmother's hair, than you aren't going to want her to do your hair. We have 2 hair stylists doing 6 girls (mom, BMs, usherettes) and 1 hair stylist doing mine. The brides hair takes the longest and you want 1 stylist to focus on your hair, not being pressed for time because she has other girls hair she has to get done. That right there is reason enough for you to have a different stylist do yours.

I agree with Jessica - I think it is 100% fine to go with a different stylist and like she said actually a good idea.
