Flowers: Check! (& Question)

So I finally decided on a florist!  I went to three different florists: Lakeside Floral, Appleblossom Floral, and Simply Stated Elegance.  Of the three Jeni at Simply Stated Elegance was by far the most affordable, and I really enjoyed hearing what her ideas were with my flowers!  She came in right where my budget was, and I'm so excited that I get to go with her to pick out my flowers!  I had looked at previous Knot posts and saw lots of positives about her, so thanks ladies for helping me with my decision!

Question: I had free consultations with the other two florists.  Do I contact them to let them know I won't be using their services?  I'm not sure what the etiquette is for that.  They aren't holding my date or anything, and they haven't called me to check if I'm going to be using them.  Just not sure if I'm supposed to let them know!

So excited to have another check done!  And we scheduled our e-pics for early Oct--peak fall colors at the Arboretum!  Can't wait!  Now time to go shopping... :-)

If you haven't scheduled the consultations- then No you are not obligated to tell them. However, if you have meetings set up then its polite to let me know you went a different direction.

I think she already had the consults and was wondering if she should contact them.

I don't think you really need to contact them. If you have their email you could just quickly email them (you don't need to tell them who you are going with or why). If you don't contact them they might call you to see if you have made up your mind but I don't think there is any rule of thumb on contacting them with a "no."

Sorry for the confusion!  I did already meet with them and had my free consultation.  Getting the estimated cost from each florist really helped me narrow down my choice to Jeni.  I love flowers, but couldn't spend a ton of money on them!
