Married Ladies - I got my new passport, but....

I got my new passport with my new name back already.  I was very surprised as I got it about 2 weeks after sending it in and when they said it'd be about 7-10 weeks.  My concern is that I did not get our marriage license back yet.  I thought I read that I'd get the marriage license back within a few weeks and then the actual passport would take the 7-10 weeks.  Did you get yours back at the same time...one before the other or what?  I know the passport came back quickly so maybe the marriage license is still on its way, but just curious....

I haven't gone through the process.... but this was asked before and it sounds like you should be getting your marriage license soon. I know they are mailed separately.

I got my passport back within two weeks as well. I thought that they still had our marriage license but then my husband reminded me that we had it in our safe, which is weird, I could have sworn that they sent it in to get my passport but I think the lady at the counter just needed to see the original copy and signed off that I had it. They did mail my birth certificate back in a separate envelope but it came the same day that my passport came.

I ended up with 3 envelopes from the passport folks.  the first thing that came back for me was my old passport, then my marriage license, then my new passport.  I'd give it a while and if you dont' see it within a week, give them a call.
