Food/Drinks during hair/make up

Hey ladies...we're having our hair/make up done at the hotel from 11:30 - 2.  I was thinking of having muffins and momosas.  Now that I think about it, I don't like OJ so  momosas are out; is there anything else anyone would recoommend for drinks?  We'll really be there for lunch vs breakfast time so what could I get for food?  What did you or are you having for food/drinks with your ladies during hair/make up?

My wedding was over the weekend and we got Subway for lunch while having makeup done...we were running a little behind, so my stylist literally did my makeup WHILE I ate.

I'd heard so many stories about brides being too nervous/excited to eat on their wedding day, I wanted something really simple that wouldn't turn my stomach...I was pretty calm, but Subway was still a great option because I didn't care much about how stuff tasted, that's for sure!

Anything simple like subway/potbelly/sandwiches are my suggestion!

What about the cute champaigne in a can?  Or you could always still provide the mimosas for the other girls and then just bring along something light you like to drink.  As for food -- muffins seem like more of a breakfast thing.  I think for the hours you have listed you might want to have more of a lunch option.

We brought bagels and juice for hair/makeup time. We started quite a bit earlier than you though since we had one stylist and one makeup lady for the 4 of us so we were solidly in breakfast territory.

We are doing bloody marys and mimosas while we are getting our hair done (starting at 10am) then when we are done (around 12:30), we will have sandwiches, chips, veggies, and cookies. It's what we had at FSIL's wedding and it seemed to work great!

Yep - I agree with previous PPs that something simple is good.

My mom also brought up that we might want to avoid any red or "stain-y" foods once I'm in my dress ... but I think that will be the last thing to go on and by that time I won't be chowin' down. :)

Pretty much what she said. I would do bloody marys if you don't like oj. I'm personally going to be doing mimosas. Food for lunch, we're planning on sandwiches, veggies and dip, fruit, things that aren't greasy or too messy. All the weddings I've been a part in have had similar food, something to snack on, you can carry around, and can eat on a nervous stomach!
