Undergarments

Hey Ladies,

I am having my first dress fitting in a couple weeks and I am trying to figure out what undergarments to get and where to get them. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a place or what you wore underneath your wedding dress. I just want it to fit perfectly without the suffication feeling :)

My dress already has a corset-type top with boning, so I'm only getting cups sew in for extra support and oomph for the girls. Not gonna bother with any extra layers under there!

I bought my undergarment from Macy's.  It is like Spanx but a lot cheaper - I got one that goes from just under the braline to the knees with a lot of nice smoothing!  It cost $20

It partly depends on what type of dress you have.  Mine was a corset back and not too slinky, so I didn't have to worry about every tiny line showing.  I had cups sewn into my dress and just got a pair of $15 undershorts with a little tummy control in it from Target.

    I hear spanx are fabulous.

Like the PPs mentioned - what type of dress do you have? The top of my dress is ridged enough that I am not doing anything - we were going to sew cups in but I dont even think I am going to do that. I did by those adhesive petals that I am going to put on just for a little protection :)

I have cups sewn into my dress and plan on wearing lacey boyshorts.

bareneccesties online has lots of options for all sizes of cups. I got a bustier there, but it does really depend on your dress.

That probably would have helped to describe my dress. :) It is a drop waist strapless. roushing(sp?) on the botice going at an angle and stopping a little past my hips on one side. I am not good at describing it. I promise is WAY prettier! haha  I am not sure if I need to wear a bra, I don't really have much and the dress has a build in bra in it. I am going to think about those cups though! I was more thinking of the bottem. I am not concern wih lines showing at all. I am thinking of getting some shapewear shorts and bringing them with to the dress fitting. I am not sure if I am going to need it or not since i didn't have any on when I brought the dress and loved it on me then but I want to make sure that I have options since i haven't tried it on in almost a year!

I'm only wearing lacey underwear (blue for my something blue).

Mine is a corset back so it pulls everything in and hold the girls up...actually kind of pushes them up haha.

I just bought a bra/corset thing from DB.  I wasn't going to, but it felt really comfortable with my dress when I tied it.  What's another $50 right?I'll probably just wear some cute (blue) underwear.
