Cravings - Woodbury? RD Site search

I am driving myself nuts trying to find a few restaurants to suggest to my FMIL. I created a google map with a lot of options but she wants us to narrow it down, basically pick where. I don't know price ranges and I don't know what she's looking for. If it were up to me I would be fine with Davanni's. I am guessing she wants something nicer, closer to Sunsets, which will be on the list, but I need some other options. Maybe even the Roseville area. We don't want to head south towards the MOA though. Pretty much everyone will be coming from the northwest suburbs, but we don't want to go as far as Maple Grove because we figure everyone will be pretty hungry by the time we're done with the rehearsal.

Thanks!!!

I thought about having ours at Ol' Mexico.  They have a really nice room in the center that has a fountain...sound a little odd, but it's very nice, like being outside sort of.  They serve Mexican and grill food and are located near Roseville.

There's always the standard Outback and Red Lobster, too.

I don't really know the area, so maybe you have already considered these?

    Axels
    Chianti Grill
    Macaroni Grill
    Good Earth
    Big Bowl
    Granite City

That said, if you really want something easy and laidback like Davannis... I would push for that. Can you rent a commnity center in woodbury and order in??

For easy and laid back, I'd also recommend Pinz.  It's a bowling alley with an arcade and laser tag area.  We had ours there and the food was great (pizza, fries, garlic bread, cheese curds, onion rings).  They were reallly easy to work with, too.

You should check out Sgt. Pepper's (10th St. and 494) in Oakdale. They have a private room and reasonably priced (yet still nice atmosphere and good service). We held a luncheon there after my brother's funeral a few years ago and they did a fabulous job. We had carved turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, etc. I believe we had about 45 people there if that gives you an idea of the room capacity.

Another option might be Machine Shed in Woodbury. I went to a private dinner there once (separate room available for large groups) and thought they did a good job too.

If you like Italian, Yarusso Brothers or Trattoria DaVinci (both in or near downtown St. Paul) also have private space available. They both have awesome food!!

    There's also:

    Axel's Bonfire, Woodbury
Famous Dave's, Woodbury (right by Davanni's)

I love Craving's food but I think that it would be tough to have a RD there.  It is pretty small and the tables are arranged such that it would be difficult to sit together.
