Yesterday I had one of those can't-wait-to-be-married moments that I had to share with ya'll.
Yesterday was my birthday, and I happen to be in Portland on business, which I am 50% of the time. It's been really sucky doing this back-and-forth thing, but it's just where we're at and it won't always be this way. Anyways ...
For my bday, my fiance sent roses to my hotel room, and bought a webcam that can be controlled remotely so I can say "hi" to my cats when I'm gone for these 2 week periods. So last night he's showing me how it works, and he turns it on and there's a cupcake with a candle, and him, and our 2 kitties, all looking adorable as ever. I started crying, then our cat Barley walked away, right over the cupcake, and his tail caught on fire. Mind you, I'm watching all this from my hotel room on my computer, and I just see this thick trail of smoke. FI grabbed the tail and snuffed it out, Barley had no idea and just looked at FI, completely oblivious, like "wtf are you doing?". Awesome, I tell you!
It turned out to be a great bday, and I can't even explain how happy I am that that little scenario right there? That's my life.
