First Dress Fitting!

I'm about to burst with excitement!  I have my first fitting with Louise tomorrow!  I just hope she doesn't take one look at it and tell me there's no way she'll be able to take it in enough (it's at least 2 sizes too big and REALLY long!).  If so, I've at least allowed enough time to search for a different one.  But, I hear she's a miracle worker so my fingers are crossed!

Question though...for the first fitting how essential is it that I know the height of the shoe heel I'll be wearing?  I honestly have not even thought about shoes yet but I could guestimate and bring along a stand-in shoe.

Any other words of advice for first fitting w/Louise?  One of my BM's is coming along so she'll take some pics!

You'll love Louise.  It's probably not essential to have your exact shoes if you know about how high of heel you want and bring in stand-in shoes, especially if you have a lot of work to do on the top of the dress.  Just be sure to tell her that they aren't the official shoes.  Good luck!

Louise worked on the top of my dress first.  We didn't worry about length until my 2nd fitting, so I think you'll be fine.  She told me she first wanted to get that figured out before adjusting the length of my dress, HTH!  Have fun, loved Louise!

I wonder if Macy's Bridal Shop will let me get an outside tailor? I'll have to ask when my dress comes in at the end of summer.  :-) eek I can't wait! My veil is already in which is also exciting!

Ditto PP - I brought my shoes to my first fitting (flats), but she did the top of my dress first, and we're going to talk about length at my second fitting.
No words of advice, I guess, but none are needed! She is super fantastic and really easy going, so have fun! Take lots of pictures!

yeah you wont need your shoes for your first fitting.  She took in the sides first and today at my second fitting she worked with the hem.  Have fun, I love her!

Sounds like she has a system as we did the top first too and the length on the second fitting. Have so much fun and bring a camera! We want to see pics!
