Back from our Honeymoon!!! PIP and Reviews

We got back from our Honeymoon in St. Lucia last night at midnight. We went for 8 days, stayed at Stonefield for 4 days and Sandals Grande for 4 days. Despite the recent hurricane the island was beautiful, lush, and green! Below are the reviews of each place we stayed at. All in all, I would definitely recommend Stonefield.

Stonefield- A++: Stonefield is a family owned private estate with 17 villas. You get your own private villa with an outdoor shower, ocean view, your own private pool, and more. The villas are between $170-220 per night and are huge (980+ SF) and include breakfast, which isn't just continental breakfast. They have amazing fresh squeezed juices and their creole omelet is to die for! The place is so sucluded that you feel like you are the only one on the resort. This estate is right next to two pitons where there are hot springs and a diamond waterfall. You are completely surrounded by rainforest and ocean!

Sandals Grande- B+: Sandals Grande was very luxirous and pretty but the area was so commercialized that you didn't feel like you were in the rainforest anymore. The beach was really nice and they had a lot of activities to do. Our room was pretty nice but just the basic hotel room with a king size bed, granite bathroom sink. The one thing I didn't care much for was that the resort had about 2,000 people(from what I heard) there and most of the couples on their honeymoons made friends with other couples and just partied the whole time. DH and I definitely socialized with other couples, like at dinner and such but we were mainly there to just enjoy each other. The food at the restaurants where reservations are needed, was just amazing, but the buffet was just average, what you would expect from a buffet. I was so suprised by the staff, they have to deal with all of these people but they were the happiest and most polite people ever. Even at the buffet they would come to your table and make sure you had every thing you needed. I might be a little tough with this review  because we had an amazing honeymoon and every thing went off without a hitch...but for spending about $500 a night, I was expecting a little more in some aspects.

Below are some pro pics we had taken at Sandals. I'll post some pics of the resort when DH puts them on the computer.
