Finally making some progress!

So, given that my FI and I decided on a short engagement... I have felt continuously 'behind the 8 ball' in my planning progress. That is FINALLY starting to turn around this week. While the only things I have 100% nailed down are my gown and the venue... I feel like I'm right around the corner from finalizing everything.

- I have a meeting (and tasting, I think... at least I hope they give us food!) scheduled with Brasa Catering. Barring any major complications, I am pretty positive that we're going with them.

- I also have a tasting with Cupcake (we're doing cupcakes instead of cake.)Again, barring any unforeseen crises, this is a pretty open-and-shut case.

- After emailing a million florists who were booked on my date, I am FINALLY getting a consultations set up with Christine's Floral Touch and Intuitive Blooms.

So, assuming all of the appointments go well, my To-Do list has just gotten significantly smaller! Whee!

Now I just have to figure out what questions to ask at all of these appointments. I would hate to book something just because I love the concept... and then find out the reality of it doesn't live up to my expectations.

Any tips?

no tips, but mmmm Brasa.  Where are you holding the reception? We're seriously considering using Brasa for our rehearsal dinner if we can find a venue that will allow us to bring them in!

Both the ceremony and reception will be at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater.

Yay! Another Brasa bride Everytime I tell people this is who is catering, their response is "I can't wait for your wedding!".

If you didn't already, I'd ask to taste some vegetarian options, too... my fave was the curried chick pea salad!

Do you need suggestions for questions to ask vendors?  I have some great lists of questions that drdifabio sent me when I was first doing vendor searches.  If you want any of them, PM me your email address!  She sent me lists for caterers, reception sites, ceremony sites, transportation, photographers, and hotels.  By the way, she is WAY more organized than I am!  I might also be able to scrounge up my list of florist questions too.
