Tipping - who?

I know this gets posted all the time, but it's one of those posts I just overlook.

Who do we need to tip?

I tipped the limo driver and the DJ since they were the only ones not working for their own company.  Thee Photobooth people told us not to tip because they pay their people very well and it isn't necessary.  We had built in gratuity for our food and beverage folks at our reception and the remainder of our folks had their own company and we felt their fee was plenty.

Thank you for posting this as this is now at the forefront of our minds too (7 days away!!!!)
Our plan is to tip the following:
--Reception (it's automatically added to our bill, but it's important to know the TOTAL so you can plan appropriately)
--DJ (they sent us some paperwork and an envelope for tipping the DJ, a little presumptuous IMO but I know it's standard.....they suggested 20% but I think that's a little rediculous, correct me if I'm wrong) we're planning a $50 tip if he does a good job and adheres to our requests, and if he gets all our songs (our first dance song is not a common one, prob not in there existing library, so I'm bringing it on CD just in case he doesn't get it)
--Hair & Make-up artist for me (prob gonna tip $20 b/c the fee is already steep)

Every other vendor owns their own company so it's not necessary (thank goodness!)  This is one topic where there is too much gray area, and where I think vendors get a little greedy (except for reception, b/c there are a lot of staff working that and they def deserve to get a tip for it)

Anyway, long winded (sorry) but hope this helps!
