Invite Wording

So, FI and I are getting married on the beach at Treasure Island in Red Wing..and our reception venue is right next to the beach. Right now, I've got the reception card worded as follows..

The pleasure of your company is requested for dinner & dancing immediately following the ceremony
at
Parardise Cove
at
Treasure Island Resort and Casino

I plan on having signs so guests know that that is where the reception is, as they will walk past it to get to the ceremony. But...do you think my wording is too blah? Do you think I should actually provide the name of the venue "Paradise Cove?"  Being the ceremony/reception are in the same location do I even need to have a reception card? Can I just put all the info on the invite?  Any other helpful ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think that technically the invitation is supposed to be ceremony only, then reception info is supposed to be on a separate card.  But I think in your case it would be very simple just to add an extra line to the bottom of your invite stating "dinner and dancing to follow at Paradise Cove, Treasure Island Casino" or something like that.  I think you need to at least mention somewhere on your invite where the reception will be, otherwise people will think they are missing information.

My ceremony and reception are at the same location; therefore, no reception card needed. Reception cards are a fairly recent addition to weddings, relatively speaking, and are only needed when all of the information won't fit on the ceremony invitation. I put a line at the bottom that says, "Reception immediately following ceremony." I think in your case this should work, if you're not sure you could add the name of the reception venue as well, but it should all fit on a single card. Good luck!

Ditto Emily... our ceremony and reception were at the same location.  I just added a small line at the bottom "reception to follow immediately".  I'm sure they'll figure it out; no one had any questions for us!  Hopefully Treasure Island will have signs or information available as well, in case guests ask when they arrive.
