NWR Life Plans

I saw this over on the E board and thought it would be fun to do here.

Post what you're life was like in 2010, what you accomplished, what major things happened (good or bad), etc (got married/engaged, had baby, bought house, etc)

And then post what your life plans are for 2011! (get married? go back to school, buy dog,etc)
Let's see what all of us have planned for the coming new year

I suppose I'll start

2010: Lots of things happened for me this year, it was a year of events thats for sure! I graduated undergrad in May, moved in with the FI for the first time in August and then started law school in August, quit my job of 4 years (for law school...which felt amazing!), got engaged in Sept, got a puppy in August, and now am trying to finish up my first semester of law school!

2011: Hoping to finish my first year of law school with good grades!!!, try to get back on a normal exercise regimen, watch my little girls that I teach dance in their recital in May, hoping to get a good (law related) job for the summer and beyond during school, and hopefully plan the majority of my wedding for Jan 2012!

2010 brought 2 big life changes...engaged and new job. 

2011 will bring a few more life changes...getting married and hopefully before the new year...a bundle of joy growing in my belly.  We don't want to wait @ all so we are hoping to get pregnant not too long after the wedding. 

Yaaa for an incredible 2010 and an even better 2011

Here here on the incredible 2011 front! And that's exciting that you are gonna try for a baby too :) If I wasn't in school I'd definitely want to try for a baby but I know it's better to wait! ;)

 2010:  FI & I FINALLY picked a date for the wedding, & let me tell you after a 4 year engagement, I was really excited!!  FI got his Law Enforcement degree, which means we're closer to where we'd like to be in our lives! 

2011:  Getting married - Can't wait for that day!!  Hoping to finally move out of my parents house, where FI & I live, & get a house of our own.  If this could happen before the wedding that would be amazing!  Keeping fingers crossed that FI can find a cop job somewhat close to family & my current job.  (He's got an interview with Anoka County on Thursday!)  = )  And depending on the house thing, possibly getting a dog! 

Here's to an amazing 2011!!  = )

Thanks.  Yes...if either one of us were still in school it would be a different story.  We feel ready...but just not before the wedding.  We have house, dog, established jobs, etc.  Bring on the new changes...so excited for our wedding :)

2010 - FI and I got engaged in February --got a new car in April (I've never had a "nice" car...only beaters) I paid off a lot of debt! We took our first vacation together to Tennessee....started the wedding planning process and became a Tastefully Simple consultant.

2011- Get MARRIED! First though, I have another friend getting married in March who got engaged 2 hours after we did. My MOH is due to have a baby in May...so lots of showers will be happening this spring. Hopefully towards the end of 2011 we will start the house hunting process and I'll have more debt paid off. 2011 is going to be great!

2010:
-Began studying for / taking CPA exams
-Dealing with the all the first holidays/bdays/vacation after my mom passed away in November 09
-Planned portions of my wedding
-Went on an amazing vacation to Maui with my dad and one of my best friends

2011:
-Get married in June!!
-Survive the winter
-Hopefully FI is able to find a job in his chosen career (Or a semi decent job that pays the bills) once he finally finishes up his degree this spring
-Move in with FI in May/June and out of my rents house finally!!
-Get a kitty when we finally get our own place
-Spend the summer at Target Field utilizing season tickets

2010: Got our puppy dog in January. First full year in our new house. Got engaged.
2011: Gettin' hitched and hopefully knocked up on the honeymoon woo hoo!

2010: Lost my Dad to Colon Cancer -- Got a Puppy -- Took and Passed the Police Officer Standardization Test--  Moved into an Apartment by myself -- Bought a Used SUV traded in my 2 dr Alero, I feel like such a Big Girl now haha -- Became an Aunt -- Planning Our Wedding

2011: Getting Married, Moving to Kansas, hopefully landing the Job of my dreams, maybe buying a home

2010- Started my Masters program, got a huge promotion at work, lost my first pregnancy , moved out of our tiny townhouse and into our beautiful home on a lake, bought my first BRAND NEW car, got engaged!, started planning the wedding!!

2011- Getting married in August!, Hopefully getting pregnant soon after the wedding, going to Las Vegas for the first time in April for my sister's wedding which will also be the first time I have ever been on an airplane lol, buying a boat so we can truly enjoy living on the lake!

-Moved home to MN with FI after 5 years in SD
-saw my step sister get married!

2011
-GET MARRIED!!
-FI is going back to school in January for criminal justice, he wants to be a parole officer
-I'll hopefully be going back to school in the fall for FNP or nurse educator, whichever program I get into.

2010: got engaged in February, been through 3 positions at work, first full year in our new house, and adopted a dog named Wesley

2011: Get married and get pregnant very soon after.  Hopefully try to launch a B&M version of my business selling chocolates if I can find a licensed kitchen space to rent workspace and go half-time at work. I've been in the market for a new career for a loooooong time.  Continue taking business classes when I can once the wedding is done and I can afford it again.

2010:  Adopted second puppy in January, promotion at work, engaged in July, planned a bunch of wedding stuff

2011:  Get married in September, finish or nearly finish my MA

2010- HA was pretty uneventul compared to 2009, but:
Got engaged in Sept and
went to Aruba in March with the girls
Refinanced my townhome in December

2011-
Thom moves in around May
Getting married in October
and I BETTER get a promotion at work hahaha

London trip-Got engaged-Fi accepted to UCLA MPP program-Yosemite trip-New Mexico trip (made my goal--all 48 continental US states by 30!)-30th Birthday/2-year anniversary-move to LA-Got job at UCLA-dad's retirement/last game-San Diego trip
2011:
Hopefully will be a little less eventful than 2010 but,
Rose Bowl!  Go Badgers!-Getting married in June!!!!-FI's internship (hopefully will be in LA)-Chinese wedding banquet in San Francisco-NYC/Vermont/Montreal for honeymoon in December

I love reading everyone's big plans for 2011 and eventful 2010s!  Here are mine:

2010:

-India/Dubai trip for work in May --- soooo good to be back there.

-Became an aunty (again!)

-Planned a wedding, attended showers, bachelorette party

-GOT MARRIED!

-Lots of trips to MN, CA, CO and OR.

-Dressed up as the Leg Lamp from A Christmas Story for Halloween. Yep, that's definitely on this list. 

2011: Oooo, it's gonna be big.

-A new job that doesn't require so much travel is in the works for shortly after the new year!

-Hubby gets his PhD next fall, followed by (hopefully) a job in the Twin Cities or Colorado

-Once we move: puppy time!

-It's time for a new car after this winter.

-Continuing work on my small business master plan for 1-2 years from now.

-Trip to Africa to climb Kilamanjaro (still a maybe)

2011: My promotion starts on 1/1/11 , go to chicago on a weekend vacation. Get married, Finish school, get FH a new car for christmas

2010- 4 months in Texas for student teaching -graduated with a degree in early childhood education -FI got a job back in the cities and we moved in with his parents -Can't find a job

2011- Finding a job! -Getting married! -Going to Jamaica! -FI finding a job he loves! -Buying a house?!

2010:  FI and I got engaged! I moved into FI's new house (and I LOVE having a house),  my parents moved to MN from MI, and they gave us a bunch of stuff like their beautiful 140 yr old piano.  Also with the move, I finally was able to have my dog up here with me instead of at my parents' house.  FI and I went to New York on our first "real" vacation together (that didn't involve visiting family).  And we spent a whole lot of time studying together so FI can finally get a degree.

2011:  There will be a lot of wedding planning.  I'm badly in need of a full time job.  If I get a full time job, hopefully I can get a new car!  (Still driving my first car.  I've had it for 11 years!)  FI and I are taking a vacation down to SC to visit his sister before she moves.  Maybe a vacay to Denver to visit my friends and their new baby.  And I'm thinking about starting my Master's.  We'll see, though.  Other than that, no plans, just ready to go with whatever life throws at us.

Well lets see, 2010 has been fairly uneventful until this last month...
2010
*FI lost his job and found a new one but took a HUGE pay cut
*Quit my job of 10yrs & started a new one
*My car died
*Got a pet snake
*Set a date (we got engaged 12/24/09) booked the venue and DJ so far
*Joined a gym and starting a weight loss plan

2011:
*Hoping to start another NEW job (don't like mine now...)
*Buying a "new" car
*Lose 100ish lbs (hopefully at LEAST 70 pre-wedding)
*more wedding plans like finding the dress
*GETTING MARRIED!!!

FI wants to move too but I am thinking that will have to wait til 2012...

Haha debbie, that sounds fantastic! I bet you were a hit :) I always wish I had the creative costume mind, I always am stumped on Halloween.

I really liked reading everyones plans, so much excitement and good things ahead for all! :)

2010: Got engaged!!  A LOT of wedding planning.  Continued in my second year teaching Title I Math in Urbandale, IA.  Paid off a lot of debt.  Attended 5 friends' weddings.

2011: Get married!!  Hopefully buy a house and start my Masters. Travel as much as possible.

2010: Another year of school, another year of work, and another year of being engaged. I moved into a new, nicer apartment with FI and I hit my weight loss goal with weight watchers early on in the year :-)

2011: Will hopefully be a big year! Graduating with an accounting degree in the spring, hopefully getting my first big kid job, and hopefully running my first half marathon that I started training for last month. And of course, getting married :-)

2010: First date with new bf, went pretty awesome! Ran my 8th marathon. Saw the Twins at their new field, went on Vacation to CA, GOT ENGAGED (to previously mentioned new bf)

2011: Run some more marathons and half marathons. Get married! Have an awesome honeymoon. Maybe getting going on some other "little" plans (we don't want to wait very long).

2010: Bought a house, Got engaged, went back to school, adopted a kitten!  It doesn't seem much said that way but it's been fun and exciting.
2011: Continue school, get married, get on a workout schedule again, FI should graduate school.  Mostly just enjoy life!

2010: I graduated from college, woot woot! Spent lots and lots of time wedding planning, we were technically engaged the last few days of 2009. I lived in 4 states moving around for jobs and for my FI. We moved to Las Vegas last week and will finally be staying here for the next three years at least (military).

2011: Get married! Maybe buy a house. Find a sweet job, fingers crossed, and get a puppy!
