Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

Reception Venue and Maybe a Wedding spot?!

Ok ladies, I was planning my wedding for August/ September 2010 and the hall i was planning (Murzyn Hall) is booked from April till October every single Saturday and the Wedding ceremony i was thinking might be under construction beginning in August.  What i am wondering is do you ladies know of any places in the Minneapolis/ St.Paul area do you recommend?
I would like to bring my own catering company in.

Also any creative ceremony/ reception site?

I feel so clueless i'm from the cities and cant think of anything!!  Please help me ladies!!

We are getting married and having the reception at the Wabasha Street Caves-definitely creative and unique.  You cannot bring your own caterer; however, there is a list from several to choose from.  Alcohol is very reasonable-I think a 600 minimum.

Metro State University allows outside catering, but I think they have a list you have to choose from... you could always check if they are flexible on that...

I like to recommend this place because we ended up not using it, and I really want to see someone get married here so I can be jealous of you ...

Its a boxing gym in NE mpls, awesome warehouse space, with huge high ceilings, you can get married in the boxing ring or in their attached "courtyard" if you want. the space is huge, parking is free, and its really funky and amazing.

Its definitely a unique creative space and the photos would be awesome! You bring in your own everything, caterer, alcohol, etc.

I LOVE my venue - Historic Concord Exchange in South St. Paul, but they do require you use their catering.  They have a restaurant that they run there too, so it makes sense.

(But we booked them for August 21).  Seriously, they are amazing.  The new manager is fabulous.

Bellagala has a cool tool where you can search by critera. Here is a link to their listing of private catering-allowed sites: Link.
