Fresh Flowers DIY Bouquets

Has anyone ever got flowers from Flower Guy in Minneapolis?  The prices I heard seems to go to be true. Thanks for any help, I plan on a florist for my bridal party however would like to do my own centerpieces if I can't find candelabras I want :)

I can't speak about the Flower Guy, but I have heard good things about getting flowers at the farmer's market in Mpls (off of Lyndale) if they are in season. There is a separate building at the farmer's market as well that may be open year round, I don't know. I know many brides have gone there for do-it-yourself flowers, but I don't know the details.

    good luck!

Veijes did some DIY flowers for her FSIL's(?) wedding. If I remember correctly, she got the flowers from Sam's Club or Costco and they turned out really well.

I have bought flowers from the Flower Guy (over nearTarget and Rainbow in NE)  He also sells at the farmers market.  I have been very pleased with the quality.

I have been in there before while they are doing wedding flowers - and they have looked nice.

For someone who is very very picky - it may not be as perfect.  But for someone who wants nice quality flowers, pretty centerpieces for a good price - I think it makes sense!

Our reception hall, Summit Manor, provides fresh flowers for all of the tables.  The owner told me he just goes down to the St. Paul farmers market and gets whatever is in season.  They looked really nice.

Emily is correct, I did do flowers for my friend's wedding in February. I will be doing my own centerpieces for mine and having Deven Nelson do my bouquets (just to make sure they hold up).

I am ordering some of my flowers for the DIY part, through Sam's Club, and some through Deven Nelson.

Since our wedding is on a Sunday we might go down to the Saturday Farmer's Market and see what they have for extra flowers to throw in.

The one good thing about the farmer's market is, if you buy your flowers through them, they will let you use their warehouse, which has a ton of countertop space, as well as their coolers to store your flowers in once they are done.
