Ohio-Columbus

Farm/Outdoor wedding

we are having a hard time finding a place that fits what we are looking for, for a venue. We want one place for the ceremony and reception. Here is what I am looking for maybe you ladies know of a place that fits this description.

- Somewhere close to Columbus or Cleveland
- A place to have the ceremony outdoors
- A rustic barn to have the reception in - Affordable ($100 or less would be ideal)
- Outside catering allowed

Our photographers did a wedding at the Liberty Barn Church in Powell recently. I don't know much about the place - but it sounds like it might be along the lines of what you're looking for. Here's a link to the photos on their blog. Looks very pretty!!

One other thought...I see you are one year and one day from your wedding date. If you want to do an outdoor ceremony in October, you might want to make sure the place you pick has a back-up indoor space available as well. I was in a friend's wedding two weeks ago in Mansfield and it was in the low 50's and raining all day...eeek.

we wanted the same thing . .  & there just isnt much around here for that price i have searched and searched!!! :((((((((( the everal barn is beautiful and i would have gone w/them but you can not serve alcohol . . we  found a place in Waldo called the barn at walnut glen just google it you will find it. its a really nice and Kelly is great to work with. But not very many guest can fit in the barn b/c half of it is a bed and breakfast so we are also renting a tent. Also if you rent the barn you get the B&B too . . its a pretty nice deal! if you want more info just private message me! :)

    good luck!

I was looking for the same sort of thing before i decided on a park instead.  In our searches, we were told to check the White Star barn in Grove City.

Dorral Farm in Marysville is a little pricier than you are looking for, but is a gorgeous place.  It is about 20 minutes from Dublin.

There is a ton of green space and wooded areas and 2 separate lakes.  There is also a converted barn that holds up to 250.

Their website is a bit sparse, but gives you an idea... www.dorralfarm.com
