Shoes for small fat feet

Anyone know a custom shoe maker in MN?  I looked online so I know there are some in other states.

I am getting married in about a month and a half.  I don’t have any wedding shoes.  No big deal right?  Well not for most people, but I have size four women’s feet, with really wide toes.  My grandma took me shoe shopping yesterday and told me I have square feet….I was not humored.

I have been around to the store in search of small fives or shoes that come in 4-4 1/2s.  Found a few…mainly at Nordstrom’s, children’s departments and trying to kind some stores that sell children’s pageant stores….but really I would rather not be limited like this.

I don't know of any custom shoe makers for dress shoes. What about trying one of the fashion design schools in Mpls?  MCAD (Mpls College of Art & design) or I think the other might be called Art Institute International?  Just a heads up though, I've ordered custom orthopedic shoes for patients at work and they do take some time to make....so you might be cutting it close on time...

If I were you, I'd buy a pair of ballet slippers. Save yourself a lot of time and trouble.

Have you looked online?  Might expand your options.

Otherwise, the ballet slippers idea is a great one - could be really graceful for your wedding day.

I would suggest Zappos.com for shoes.  I found exactly the shoes I wanted for the wedding, and just kept ordering pairs until I got ones that fit (5 pairs total, in different sizes and widths).  Free shipping both ways, and it couldn't be easier.  They even upgraded my shipping to next day for free - twice!

Ditto Zappos!! They have a lot more size options than dept or other shoe stores would, even in some of the same brands that the dept stores carry. You usually get the shoes the day after you order them. Also, if you order a pair, and they aren't right, you can call customer service, and they will send you something else even before you return the other pair! In a time crunch, good customer service is a plus, and they certainly have that!
